Biden Places Blame on Delaware’s Pollution as the Cause for his Cancer
In a speech on Wednesday, President Biden blamed Delaware’s pollution and oil slicks as the cause for his cancer. Biden was in Somerset, Massachusetts delivering a speech about climate change, where he turned the conversation to cancer causing pollution, and how he was affected.
According to Newsweek, Biden talked about his childhood in Delaware, explaining that the skin cancer he had in his life was caused by environmental pollution he was around as a child. He said he remembered pollution in Delaware being so bad, it caused “people to wipe oil off of car windshields every morning just to be able to drive.” He went on to explain that Delaware has the highest rate of skin cancer in the US, due to oil slick from pollution.
