Man Runs Over Family Before Opening Fire in Montana

A Montana man has run over a tourist family on the outskirts of Glacier National Park and then began to fire shots at them late Sunday night. The assailant, Derick Madden, drove his Toyota Tacoma over a sidewalk to run into the Siau family, and then proceeded to crash into a tree before opening fire with his shotgun.

Madden was previously in a relationship with the sister in law of the family he attacked, who was also present. Madden shot and killed David Siau, and then fatally wounded his 18 month old daughter McKenzie, who was in her mother’s arms when Madden was shooting.

Christina Siau, who Madden was previously in relations with, was the one to end the horrific incident by killing Madden on the scene. He ran out of ammunition and began attacking her with a knife before she was able to fight back and injure Madden to where he died on the scene.
