European Wildfires

Wildfires have been taking over Europe destroying thousands of miles across the continent. Tens of thousands of people across France, Portugal, and Spain have been required to evacuate their homes to escape the quick moving fires.

These fires have been the talk of the summer in Europe, along with their cause, raging temperatures never seen before. The fires have spread so far they’ve touched into the United Kingdom causing London to declare it a major incident.

Portugal and Spain have lost at least 1,000 lives due to the heat and fires, according to authorities. The fires have spread across 10,000 hectares, and firefighters are being commended for their bravery and willingness to tackle this massive emergency. The firefighters are currently battling two wildfires that have taken over 47,000 acres of land.
