Former Lawyer Alex Murdaugh Charged With Murder of Wife and Son

Alex Murdaugh, disgraced former South Carolina attorney, has been indicted for the murder of his wife and son. The incident occurred in 2021, and has just come to an end from the decision of a Colleton County grand jury.

The charges Murdaugh faced are two counts of murder and two counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Murdaugh’s wife Margaret “Maggie”, 52, and their son Paul, 22, were both found shot dead on their property in Islandton, South Carolina. Murdaugh claims to have arrived at the scene after his family was killed, but traces of blood splatter can place him at the crime.
