R. Kelly Reportedly Engaged to One of his Victims

Rapper R. Kelly, who has recently been sentenced 30 years in prison for sex racketeering and trafficking, is reportedly engaged to one of his victims. According to TMZ, the woman who R. Kelly is allegedly engaged to is Joycelyn Savage.

TMZ reported that Savage “submitted an unsigned letter to Judge Ann Donnelly ahead of the singer’s sentencing, identifying herself as “Robert Kelly’s finance” and is asking for leniency”. According to The Cut, Savage made claims in the letter, saying “Robert is not the monster that the government has described him to be.” and “The Robert I know is very sweet, gentle, and kind. At the end of the day, he has always made sure that I’m taken care of, and any other women he was with as well.”. It has been reported that Savage’s parents claim they had no idea about the engagement, and doubt it is real. In an interview with Gayle King in 2019, Savage as well as other women, previously claimed to be Kelly’s live-in girlfriends.
