Amber Heard’s Lawyer Files Motion for Mistrial

On Friday, Amber Heard’s lawyers filed for ‘mistrial’ after the loss she faced in the Depp v. Heard case in early June. According to ABC News, Heard’s lawyers filed the mistrial saying that ” one of the jurors chosen for the trial was not the same person who received the jury summons.”.

In the motion her lawyers filed, it says “the individual who appeared for jury duty with this name was obviously the younger one.”. ABC News reported that the original juror’s birth year is 1945, but the juror who served has a birth year of 1970. Both jurors have the same address and same name. Although neither legal team has made any comments regarding the motion, a spokesperson for Heard did tell ABC News that “There were a torrent of problems with this trial.”, and that this may not be the only one.
