Fourth of July Celebration Leaves 6 Dead at Highland Park, Illinois

On Monday during Fourth of July Celebrations, a gunman opened fire leaving 6 dead, and at least a dozen injured at Highland Park, Illinois. According to ABC News 7, the gunman was 21 year old Robert “Bobby” Crimo III.

Crimo opened fire at Highland Park from a rooftop with more than 70 rounds, where he later exited the roof, he dropped his rifle and he blended in with the crowd and he escaped,” police told ABC News 7. He blended in by wearing women’s clothing to hide the tattoos on his face. It is reported that there is no known motive, and that according to police, the shooting “appears to be completely random”. On Tuesday, Crimp was charged with 7 counts of first degree murder, and if convicted, can face “up to life in prison with no parole.”.
