50 Migrants Found Dead in Semi Truck in San Antonio

There have been a reported 50 dead migrants found in the back of a semi truck Monday afternoon in San Antonio, Texas. There were another 16 people who were transported to the hospital with heat related injuries, 4 of them being children.

Authorities received a call regarding the semi around 6pm Monday afternoon saying the caller had heard cries for help coming from the truck. Police Chief William McManus has disclosed that they have 3 suspects in custody, but the station is unaware if they are related to the case.

It is unknown how long the migrants were left in the truck, but there were no signs of water or air conditioning. The migrants that survived were reported to be ‘hot to the touch’. Some of the victims have been identified as 22 Mexicans, 2 Hondurans, and 7 Guatemalans.
