Tampa Bay Wins Game 3, but Nikita Kucherov has to Leave Game

Nikita Kucherov, star right wing for the Tampa Bay Lightning, left the third game in the Stanley Cup Final against the Colorado Avalanche with 6:05 left in the third period. Kucherov suffered an injury that required him to be pulled from the game for evaluation, but luckily his team pulled through with a 6-2 victory.

Kucherov is one of the highest scoring members on the Lightning, and his presence was surely missed when he was off the ice. Head coach Jon Cooper is optimistic that Kucherov will play in game four of the series, especially if Kucherov has any say in the topic. Kucherov played in the 2021 playoffs with a cracked rib, so Cooper is sure that he can and will try to play through almost any injury to be there for his team.
