Man Dies After Being Shot by an Officer at a Hotel in North Austin

A 34 year old man has been killed after being shot by an officer at a North Austin Hotel. According to Fox 7 Austin, the incident happened “around 12:30 a.m. when the Central Texas Regional SWAT served a narcotics search warrant at the Inn Tower Suites Extended Stay Hotel”.

Leander PD told sources that while they were serving this warrant, one of their officers shot and killed a man inside a hotel room. The identity of the man who was shot and killed, as well as the officer who did it, have not yet been released. The officer has been placed on administrative leave, and the Austin PD is currently investigating the scene.
