Bus Driver in NYC Stabbed in the Stomach and Slashed in the Eye

Early Tuesday morning in Brooklyn, New York, an MTA bus driver was stabbed in the stomach and slashed in the eye when he tried to stop the man from riding the bus without paying fare. According to Spectrum News NY1, the man tried to board the bus from the rear door without paying at an intersection. When the 39 year old bus driver tried to stop the man from entering the bus without paying, the man pried the doors open and attacked him before fleeing the bus.

According to the NYPD, the bus driver was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition. The attacker has yet to be caught and arrested, and the investigation is still ongoing.
