LeBron James becomes First Active Player to become a Billionaire

According to Forbes, household name LeBron James has become the first active NBA player to have a net worth of $1 billion. James is on the Los Angeles Lakers and has won four NBA championships.

From May 2021 to 2022 James was able to make $121 million in both his on court and off court endeavors. He has been playing in the NBA for 19 years now and has made approximately $385 million in salary from his time on the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Lakers. Along with being a star on the court, James is also a star in the theaters. He starred in “Space Jam: A New Legacy”. Forbes assumes the rest of James’ money came from investments and holding shares in different companies. He is very proud to have reached the $1 billion mark.
