Harvey Weinstein’s Rape Conviction Upheld by Appeals Court

Former film producer Harvey Weinstein has attempted to appeal the trial currently against him on five accounts of rape to women in California between 2004 and 2013.

Weinstein is currently being held at a jail in California after being extradited last year. He attempted to argue that the women who were testifying during his trial were being allowed to speak on more than he was being charged for. On Thursday the panel of five judges upheld the conviction against Harvey.

Harvey’s lawyers are working to find a way to petition the appeals and court decisions in order to free Harvey.
