Tom Brady Announces He is Un-Retiring After Just 40 Days
Former NFL quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tom Brady has announced he is coming out of retirement. Only two months ago, Brady had announced his retirement at age 44 from professional football after 22 years of play. However, on Sunday, he stated that he is retracting this retirement and plans to come back for his 23rd NFL career season to the Buccaneers.
Brady sent out a Tweet Sunday stating that he has “realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa.”
His return will make Brady the oldest active NFL player in history. Brady has won seven Super Bowl titles, six with his former team, the New England Patriots, and one with the Bucs.
