Cleveland Browns Make Playoffs For First Time Since 2002

The Cleveland Browns made the playoffs for the first time since 2002 after their 24-22 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Before this season, the Browns had gone 17 seasons without a spot in the playoffs.

The Browns’ quarterback Baker Mayfield led the team to victory on a 3 yard run on a third-and-2 from the Pittsburgh 42-yard line. After the game, Mayfield’s fellow teammate Kevin Stefanski commented on the play saying, “We just put the ball in his hands and said go get this thing.”

The team’s last playoff game on January 5th, 2003, ended with a 36-33 wild-card loss in Pittsburgh against the Steelers. They now will face the Steelers again for their first playoff game back in next weekend’s wildcard round on Sunday, January 10th at 8:15pm EST.
