Ellen DeGeneres Tests Positive for Covid, Show Paused
Comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres announced that she has tested positive for the coronavirus, and that due to this her show, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” will be paused temporarily. DeGeneres announced the news through a post on her official Twitter account Thursday morning.
“Hi Everyone, I want to let you all know that I tested positive for Covid-19. Fortunately, I’m feeling fine right now. Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all proper CDC guidelines, I’ll see you all again after the holidays. Please stay healthy and safe,” she tweeted.
The show’s halt comes following the recent premier of its 18th season, whose first episode aired on September 21st despite the controversy involving allegations of racism and sexual misconduct within the workplace that occurred during the months prior.
