Netflix Changes Past Credits for Elliot Page

According to a confirmation given by Netflix on Tuesday, just mere hours after actor and producer Elliot Page came out as trans, the streaming service has already changed the credits on all his work to reflect his proper name. Page publicly came out as a transgender man Tuesday morning.

The streaming service has also said that it is in process of updating Page’s film and television that it currently streams. To reflect his new name on those works, writing has updated landing pages for “The Umbrella Academy,” “Something in the Water,” “Tallulah,” and “Tales of the City.”

In addition, Netflix has begun changing the metadata in its search function to show the name Elliot on all of Page’s titles on the platform.
