Tua Tagovailoa Wins Debut Game Against Rams

Rookie quarterback for the Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa took the win in his first game playing for the NFL. Tagovailoa led the team in a 28-17 win over the Los Angeles Rams.

Tagovailoa made his first NFL touchdown play by throwing a pass to receiver DeVante Parker, who then along with the team’s dominant defense and special teams unit, finished out the play.

After the game, Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores made a statement to the press about Tagovailoa’s debut saying that “We won. We won the game. It’s a team football game. It’s not a one-man show. He made enough plays for us to win the ball game. Collectively, if we don’t play well in one phase we have to pick each other up. It’s his first NFL game against a real good defense. You got to take that into account as well. But the rest of the team picked him up and we got the W.”
