Actor Sean Connery Passes Away at Age 90

Actor Sean Connery has passed away at the age of 90. Connery is most known for being the first actor to play the iconic role of intelligence agent James Bond. According to a statement given to the British Press Association by his publicist, the actor reportedly died peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his wife and two sons.

As a tribute to Connery, the James Bond official Twitter page posted an image of him followed by a caption which read: “Sir Sean Connery has died at the age of 90. He was the first actor to play James Bond on the big screen in Dr. No in 1962, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice and Diamonds Are Forever followed.”

The actor was awarded his first Oscar in 1988 for his captivating role in “The Untouchables.” He continued his great work by also having major parts in “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,” “Highlander” and “The Hunt for Red October.”
