Facebook Launches it’s Cloud Gaming Service
Facebook has added a new cloud gaming feature to its services. This new addition allows users to stream games such as “Asphalt 9: Legends” and “WWE SuperCard” without having to download them. The company revealed the new feature in a blog post stating that all the cloud streamed games are available for play on News Feed or under the social media platform’s gaming tab.
Facebook vice president of play Jason Rubin, told The Verge that the company’s approach to cloud gaming differs from other services, because its main focus is to offer quick and easy games rather than large, well-known and exclusive titles. On the other hand however, the executive added that the company would certainly not be opposed to offering up those exclusive games in the future.
The new addition is initially only being offered for use by Android and web users for now however, Facebook has announced that it is in the process of exploring other options that will allow the feature to launch on Apple’s iOS as well.
