Pixar’s Latest Movie Heading Straight to Disney+
Pixar’s newest release Soul, will be surpassing theater’s and going straight to Disney+. The movie is set to first become available on December 25th, and for countries where Disney is not available, the film will be released in theaters.
Soul, directed by Pete Docter and Kemp Powers, features a comedic interpretation of what life is like before birth. The storyline is centered around a musician named Joe, played by actor Jamie Foxx, who stumbles into a manhole after being given the gig of his dreams. However, Joe refuses to go easily into the afterlife and rather ends up in the pocket dimension where souls are taught how to become lives and given personalities. Along the way Joe comes across a soul called 22, who doesn’t want to go to Earth and become a life. Throughout the story the idea of life itself is put into perspective and “what’s really important in our lives…” becomes the centered moral of the film as described by Docter.
