Eddie Van Halen Passes Away at Age 65 from Cancer
Eddie Van Halen, lead guitarist of distinguished rock band, Van Halen passed on Tuesday morning at age 65 from cancer. His son, Wolf Van Halen posted in his father’s memory on Twitter stating “he was the best father I could ever ask for….Every moment I’ve shared with him on and off stage was a gift.”
Valerie Bertinelli, Van Helen’s ex-wife and mother of Wolf Van Halen, also paid tribute following the passing posting on Twitter that “You gave me the one true light in my life, our son, Wolfgang. Through all your challenging treatments for lung cancer, you kept your gorgeous spirit and that impish grin. I’m so grateful Wolfie and I were able to hold you in your last moments. I will see you in our next life my love.”
Van Halen leaves behind his musical legacy and the 19 albums he and his iconic band had produced since 1978.
