Apple is opening its first ever floating store in Singapore. The store is set to open on September 10th in the Marina Bay. The new building will feature trees, sunlight and an underwater boardroom on the interior. During the day the sun will also be able to reflect off of the store’s 114 glass panels which will offer a 360-degree panoramic view of the Singapore skyline and waterfront.
On the exterior of the building there will be a small opening near the top. The opening will give the store an appearance similar to that of a glass iris. Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People stated to Microsoft News that “Our passionate and talented team is ready to welcome this community to our new store and deliver the care and support that our customers around the world love.”
The doors are scheduled to open at 10 am the 10th of September.
