Big Ten Postpones Season

The Big Ten announced on Tuesday that it would postpone all of its fall sports including its football season after conference presidents and chancellors took it to a vote. The decision was made almost a week after the Big Ten released its schedule and the players took it to heart on social media. Although there is some hope that the season could be played out next spring, many players have just lost the opportunity to play their final season of college football before declaring for the NFL Draft. With that being said, Big Ten commissioner, Kevin Warren, and the rest of the conference presidents made it clear that the health and safety of their student-athletes would be their first priority in making a decision for a potential season. President Trump, on the other hand, has publicly announced that the NCAA is making a “tragic mistake” by postponing the season.
