Power 5 Conferences Talk About Cancelling Fall Sports
As we inch closer to the NCAA College Football season, no one really knows how this year will play out with the coronavirus pandemic still shaking the nation. Commissioners from all top five conferences met this Sunday to discuss the possibility of cancelling or postponing fall sports including this upcoming football season. Reportedly, Big Ten Presidents are in favor of postponing the season until the spring, which will influence the rest of the Power 5 conferences to follow in their footsteps. A couple of the conferences, including the ACC and SEC, prefer to wait until the student body arrives on campus to see how everything works out in the first few weeks in order to make a final decision. Other conferences are saying that they don’t want to take a chance. With time running out, we will most likely hear in the next week or so whether or not NCAA College Football is returning this year.
