Shaq and Papa John’s Introduce Shaq-a-Roni Pizza
Retired NBA superstar Hall of Famer, Shaquille O’Neil, a Papa John’s board member and restaurant owner, recently decided he’d like to share his favorite pizza. Papa John’s launched the Shaq-a-Roni Pizza on Monday, which is a 16-inch pie, topped with 66 slices of pepperoni and extra cheese. Rather than the standard 10-slices, the new pie is cut into 8-slices, making for larger slices to give a bigger pizza experience to the diner. One dollar from each pie, sold between now and August 23rd, will be donated to Papa John’s Foundation for Building Community – which works to support local community endeavors for fairness, equality, respect and equal opportunity for all. The donated proceeds from the Shaq-a-Roni Pizza will support relief for COVID-19, the fight for racial equality, the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
