Lebron James Announces Voting Rights Initiative
NBA superstar and entrepreneur Lebron James is starting a voting rights initiative called More Than A Vote with other prominent athletes and entertainers. James is putting his money where is mouth is and is personally providing the initial financing of the group with his business partner Maverick Carter. The group will look to combat voter suppression against minorities and help get out the vote. After seeing the voting debacle in the recent Georgia primaries where voters had to in some cases wait hours to vote, it is clear that change is needed immediately if we really care about having fair elections in this country.
